Digital Learning

This section of our website is to provide information regarding our digital provision

At Gordon Children's Academy, we are incredibly lucky to have access to various online platforms that develop their digital literacy within school and allow our pupils to access learning at home.

Reception use Tapestry on a daily basis. Tapestry is an easy-to-use and secure online learning journal helping staff and families celebrate their children’s learning and development. School adults regularly upload observations of the children to share with their families. Homework and reading is also put on Tapestry for parents/carers to access and complete.

Tapestry for parents/carers to access and complete.

Children from Year 1 - Year 6 have access to Microsoft Teams at school and have their own log ins and email accounts.

Alongside daily reading and times table rock stars for KS2 and Numbots for KS1, we set homework on a platform called 'Carousel Learning' for Year 1-Year 6 on a Thursday which is due the following Tuesday.

All homework will be sent to children on Microsoft Teams. Their homework will be a link to Carousel Learning Quiz. Attached to this letter is a short guide that will explain how to access this. At the start of next term, we will also be doing a parent workshop to further support with how to access this at home.

Children also have access to Spelling Shed and some children will have access to additional platforms such as Nessy which can be accessed from home.

Usernames and passwords are sent out at the start of every academic year but if you have lost these or your child has forgotten their details, please speak to their class teacher.
